Abstract: Catalysts based on Al2O3 and Cr2O3 with rare earth elements as promoter were prepared by impregnation method. The role of promoters in catalytic dehydrogenation of isobutane has been evaluated and investigated by XPS,ESR,TPD,and TG-DTA. The results showed that addition of rare earth elements could improve the catalytic ability and stability of the catalyts in dehydrogenation of isobutane.
