Abstract: Rheological properties and morphology of chlorinated poly (vinyl chloride)/epoxide resin (CPVC/EP) blends were studied. The results show that the variation of shear viscosity with shcar rate for all blends can be described accurately by a second order equation. The flow activation energy of the blends decreases with the shear rate and increases with the EP content at constant shear rate. The logarithmic viscosity decreases linearly with the EP content when EP is less than 15 wt%. CPVC and EP form layer structure in the blend.
