Abstract: The solubility of the ternary system, Dy(ClO4)3.3H2O-18C6-CH3CN, at 15℃ has beeninvestigated using a somimicro phase eqilibrium mothod. Two kinds3of coordination compo-und were formod in the system: Dy(ClO4)3·18C6·3H2O·2.5CH3CN and Dy(ClO4)3·2 (18C6).3H2O·2CH3CN.Examination of the role played by water in this systom during equilibriumshowed that the mole ratio of H2O to Dy(ClO4)3 always equals to 3:1, no matter it isin liquid or solid phase.coordination compounds with the following compositions determi-ned by IR, TC, DTG, DSC, conductance measurements and chemical analyses were obtai-ned: Dy(ClO4)3·18C6·3H2O, Dy(ClO4)3·2(18C6·3H2O) Dy(ClO4)3·18C6 and Dy(ClO4)3·2(18C6).
