Abstract: The present paper deals with the dynamic separation and preeoneentration of traeegold in minerals with polyurethane foam.Aeetone was used as eluant for releasingthe gold adsorbed on the polyurethane foam.among the 25 eoexisting ions including Hg, Ag, Tl and Pd, only Tl shows a relatively low allowance amount. The interferencefrom Tl can be easily eliminated by washing the column with EDTA solution. The recoveryof gold is about 95%.The procedure has been applied to the separation and determinationof gold in several geological standard samples with gold contents range from 0.051g/t to 3.59g/t.The relative errors of the determinations are less than 6%.
