Abstract:

twelve new ferroceneacyl benzimidazoles were prepared by the reaction of ferrocenesulfonylchloride or ferrocenylcarbonylchloride with 1H-benzimidazole derivatives.The structures of as-synthesized benzimidazoles were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, Elemental analysis and MS. The results show that the reaction of benzimidazole derivatives containing active hydrogen with ferroceneacylchloride gave ferroceneacyl benzimidazole  in good yields.
