Abstract:

A new Surface Desorption Atmospheric Chemical Ionization mass spectrometry (SDAPCI-MS) method is established to directly determinate pesticide residues on the surface of vegetables without any toxic chemical contamination. Three carbamate pesticides including carbofuran, isoprocarb and methomyl are determinated, and the structure of the molecular ions of each analyte is confirmed by CID to exclude the fake positive conclusion. The detection limit of this method is found to be less than 10-14g/cm2, the detection time is less than 1 s. SDAPCI-MS is good to inspect bulk samples nondestructively without sample pretreatment.
