Identify of the sulfur compounds in industrial mixed alkanes

Abstract:

In the paper, a method for identifying the sulfur compounds in industrial mixed alkanes was developed. By treating samples with KOH and AgNO3, mercaptan, thioether and thiophene were separated and enriched effectively from industrial mixed alkanes, which were in favor of the analysis by GC-MS. 30 kinds of thioether compounds and 5 kinds of mercaptan compounds in industrial mixed alkanes were detectable.
