Abstract: Four derivatives of friedelin were synthesized by chemical transformation of friedelin in order to investigate their bioactivities and develop highly anti-inflammatory agents.

Key words: friedelin, methoxymethylenefriedelane, friedelanyl aldehyde, hydroxymethyl friedelane, acetoxymethyl friedelane, anti-inflammatory activitiy
