Photodegtgradation of Water-Soluble Dyes in PbTiO₃ System

Abstract

Abstract: The photocatalytic destruction and decolorization of several water-soluble dyesunder natural sun light and 450W high pressure Hg-lamp irradiation in the presence of photo-catalyst Pb TiO₃ were studied.The experiments show that the efficiency of decolorization isrelated to the pH value of dye solution,irradiation time,as well as the intensity of irradiation.After irradiation with sun light for 1h,the decolorizing efficiency was up to 90% whenthe concentration of dyes was 10mg/L and the amount of catalyst was 100mg in 50mL dyesolution.
