Abstract: Xylose has been determined on a 2,4-dinitrophenolate electrode based on the reaction between 2,4-dinitrophenolate and xylose in NaOH medium. The optimum conditions of determination are described.The method has been applied to determine the xylose content in hydrolysis solution of hemicellulose in waste residtie of papermaking.
