Abstract:

A new type of hollow tubular superstructure composed of CuO nanosheets was fabricated from Cu₂O@HKUST-1(HKUST-1=Cu₃(BTC)₂, BTC^3-=benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate) nanowire through the hydrolysis of HKUST-1 shell and oxidation etching of Cu₂O core. The as-obtained tubular CuO superstructures possess a large Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) surface area(56.3 m²/g) and exhibit high catalytic performance in CO oxidation. The complete CO conversion temperature is 200 ℃. At 190 ℃, the value of CO conversion efficiency is 17.3 mmol_CO/(g_CuO·h).
