Abstract: Grafting of glycidyl methacrylate(GMA)onto ethylene-propylene copolymer(EPM) has been carried out successfully by means of melt reaction extruding in the presenceof dicumyl peroxide as initiator. The grafted EPMl-g-GMA samples were characterized byFTIR and ESCA.Grafting of GMA changed the crystallization temperature, melting tem-perature,and crystal form of EPM.

Key words: ethylene-propylene copolymer, glycidyl methacrylate, graft copolymerization
