Abstract: The ultrafiltration membranes have been prepared by the phase inversion method from polyphenylquinoxaline(PPQ)containing 4,4'-biphenylene group in the main chain. The effects of heat-treatment temperattire, time and polymer concentration on the performance of the membranes have been studied.Study of thermal stability and hydrolytic stability properties of membranes was carried out in glycerol bath at 120℃ for 10h,in water at 100℃ for 200h, using the pure water flux and the retention of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and chymotrypsinum (CMP) for judgement. The results showed that the membranes exhibited a better permeability, high selectivity, good thermal stability, hydrolytic stability, and tensile strength.
