Abstract: The blends of phenophthalein polyether-ether-sulfone (PES-C) and phenophthalein polyether-ether-ketone (PEK-C) were prepared in a twin screw extruder. Both miscible and immiscible PES-C/PEK-C blends were obtained depending on the mixing conditions. The miscibility of the blends is discussed in terms of the solubility parameters and the glass transition temperatures.

Key words: polyaryl-ether-sulfone, polyaryl-ether-ketone, miscibility, glass transition temperature
