Abstract: The two Eu(Ⅲ) sites of the Eu(DMBM)(TPPO)2(NO3)2(DMBM:dimethoxybenzoylmethanate;TPPO;triphenyl phosphine oxide) have been probed high-resolution excltation and emission spectra at 77K on the powdered polycrystaline samples. Detailed study of 5D1-7F1(J=0~2) transitions. indicates the two sites with. C2v and C1,C2 or C symmetry respectively. The'Eu(Ⅲ) site with C2v predominates in the complex.
