Abstract: A novel trivacant heteropoly comolex α-Na9[GaW9O34H2]xH2O was prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, anion charge determination, IR, UV, polarographic and thermal analyses.Trivacant heteropolyanion [GaW9O34H2]9- can react with some transition metal cations to form trisubstituted heteropolyanions with Keggin structure.
