Abstract: The luminescence mechanism, the energy transfer processes, the effects of ligand con-centration and laser energy on the fluorescent intensities of the dysprosium-trifluoroacetylace-tone-tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (Dy-TFA-TOPO) system were studied using Nd:YAGpumped dye laser and SIT vidicon optical multichannel analyzer. The phosphorescenceemission of TFA was determined first time on room temperature. The Dy-TFA-TOPO-Tween-20 was adopted in the trace determination of dysprosium.
