Abstract: Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) as a renewed spectroscopic techniquenow attracts in itself great interest and rapid development. In this paper a brief introdwction of the principle of PAS, varions fi-elds of its applications have been given with emphasis on the use of the tech-niqne as a new analytical tool in polymer chemistry and surface chemistrystudies.
