Two monomers containing 1,8-naphthalimide segments and The photophysical properties of the monomers and their homopolymers

Abstract:

Abstract: Two fluorescent vinyl monomers containing 1,8-naphthalimide segments were synthesized and polymerized utilizing atom transfer radical polymerization. The monomers and the homopolymers were characterized by 1H-NMR, and GPC, respectively. The photophysical properties of the monomers and homopolymers were studied in detail. Results show that both monomers and homopolymers had good fluorescent properties, the homopolymers had a higher quantum yield than monomer .
